Terms of Service
Effective 19 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and MetAt ("MetAt", "we", "us"). MetAt is operated by an independent sole proprietor based in California, USA. They cover your use of MetAt.io, app.MetAt.io, the MetAt Telegram bot and the MetAt Chrome extension (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you use MetAt for a company, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf.
1. What MetAt does
MetAt helps you record the people you meet at conferences and events, organize them by event, see who you already know on LinkedIn, and draft follow-up messages. MetAt never sends messages, emails or connection requests for you. You review and send every follow-up yourself, from your own accounts.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old and give accurate account details.
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your email inbox and any connected accounts (Telegram, Google, LinkedIn) secure.
- On a Team plan, the person who pays manages the team and can add or remove members. Team members' contacts belong to their own accounts unless shared through the team plan.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to:
- Only add people you actually met, who shared their details with you, or who registered for an event you attended or organized, and follow the privacy and anti-spam laws that apply to you when contacting them (for example CAN-SPAM, GDPR and CASL).
- Use connected services (Telegram, LinkedIn, Luma, Google, X) in line with their own terms. MetAt deliberately paces LinkedIn lookups; you must not try to get around those limits or automate activity beyond what MetAt provides.
- Not use MetAt to send spam, harass anyone, collect data for resale, or build profiles of people you have no real connection with.
- Only import Telegram groups you are a member of and that relate to an event, use the member lists for that event's follow-ups only, and respect any rules the group has about its members' details. If you turn on conversation summaries, you are responsible for having the right to process those conversations where you are.
- Not attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
4. Plans and prices

Prices exclude any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live. Payments are processed by Stripe. We may change prices; existing subscriptions get at least 30 days' email notice before a change applies, and you can cancel before it does.
5. Renewals and cancellation
- Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the then-current price, charged to your saved payment method, until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time in Settings → Plan & billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then moves to Free. Your data is kept.
- If a payment fails, we and Stripe will retry; if it keeps failing, the account moves to Free.
6. Refunds
- First purchase: if MetAt isn't right for you, email contact@metat.io within 14 days of your first paid subscription payment and we will refund it in full.
- Renewals: renewal payments are not refunded, except where the law requires it; canceling stops the next renewal.
- Host Pass: refundable in full if you ask before the booth or side event's start time. After the event has started, it is non-refundable.
- AI draft packs: refundable within 14 days if none of the credits have been used.
- If the Service is unavailable for a significant time because of a fault on our side, contact us and we will make it right with a credit or a refund.
7. Your content
You own the contacts, notes, photos and other content you add ("Your Content"). You give us permission to store and process Your Content only to run the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to add Your Content. You can export your contacts to CSV and delete them at any time.
8. AI-generated drafts
Follow-up drafts, and conversation summaries if you turn them on, are written by an AI model (Google Gemini) from the details you provide. Drafts can be wrong or inappropriate; check every draft before you send it. You are responsible for the messages you send.
9. Third-party services
MetAt works with services we don't control, including Telegram, LinkedIn, Luma, Google, X, HubSpot and Stripe. Their availability and rules can change and may affect MetAt features. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep MetAt reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may add, change or remove features. If we discontinue the Service, we will give at least 30 days' notice, let you export your data, and refund any unused prepaid time.
11. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time by emailing contact@metat.io. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, for example by sending spam to people captured with MetAt. Where reasonable we will warn you first.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that LinkedIn matches, event tagging or AI drafts will always be accurate.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if greater. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
14. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used MetAt or the messages you sent, in breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use MetAt after that means you accept the updated terms.
